about

It doesn't get more underground than this. Paul Joyner made this acid/house recording in 2002. As far as I know, only two copies were made and this is the only surviving one. If you look at the cover image you can see the CD-R it was made on is starting to deteriorate. This is an effort to preserve Paul's work.

Back when he gave it to me, he used to joke about using trademarked names for branding in hopes that he would get famous when he eventually got sued. It's even funnier now that CompUSA isn't around anymore.

I have no idea how he made this. When I asked him, he dismissed the question as "something I made with this program on the computer". Looking back, this recording was my first exposure to Acid music.

Paul Joyner is still making music. He runs a label called Slow Fidelity. His discography spanning two decades of work can be found here: slowfidelity.bandcamp.com

Paul, thanks for letting me put out your old album man. I miss hanging out and jamming. Wishing you all the best!
